The art of mosaic began during the Hellenistic period in Greece in the 5^th century BC with the use of inset pebbles to provide durable pavements. By the time of Imperial Rome it had evolved into the most stunning means of wall and floor decoration with masterpieces of incredible complexity. We produce a wide range of styles and use mosaic artists who are either Mosaic Masters or have served many years apprenticeship. As such we can re-create either the most simple custom border or elaborate patterns or scenes using thousands of pieces of stone and glass.
